By microwave absorption and dielectric spectrum detection technique, the decay behaviors of photoelectrons in the reduction-sensitized silver halide emulsion have been measured, and the time-resolved spectrums of free photoelectrons and shallow-trapped photoelectrons have been obtained. Through analyzing the time-resolved spectrum of photoelectrons, the effect of traps of reduction sensitization in the different conditions, the relationships between reduction sensitization conditions and the effect of traps of sensitization center and the time characteristics of the decay processes of photoelectrons and the best sensitization conditions have been discussed, and its function is analyzed from microcosmic dynamics.Base on the time-resolved spectrum of photoelectrons, it is found that the decay time and lifetime of photoelectron are prolonged under some reduction sensitization conditions, while they are shortened under some other conditions. This is mainly because there are two types of sensitization centers in reduction-sensitized emulsion: R centers, which formulate in neutral kinks, serve as hole-trap, and prolong the decay of photoelectron; P centers, which formulate in positive kinks, serve as deep electron-trap, and accelerate the decay of photoelectron. And the trap effect of sensitization center changes with the changing of sensitization condition. Through analyzing the time-resolved spectrum of photoelectrons of AgCl-cubic emulsion with the changes of sensitizing conditions, we obtained that the sensitizing conditions have a best value. The different decay sections of photoelectron are founded, and the different influence factors are studied. The first areas of the decay curves of free photoelectron signals have two different areas: a area and b area, photoelectron lifetime in a area is longer than that in b area. The factors which influence photoelectron decay in a area are superficial trap effect, while factors in b area are inside trap effect. In addition, by contrast of the decay behaviors of photoelectrons in different emulsions, the influence of reduction sensitization on different emulsions has been analyzed. Sensitize AgBr-cubic emulsion and AgCl-cubic emulsion under the same reduction sensitization...
