The information of wastes, such as the outputs, treated amounts, treated methods, gathering, cleaning, transportation and so on were analyzed and discussed by studying on the status quo of management and treatment for household waste among china, Germany and other developed countries. The property of waste in landfill site (Longquan Mountain) was analyzed. The bio-waste resource of food market was investigated in Hefei. The source separation was implemented in resident's house. The bio-wastes from composting were treated by earthworms. According to above experiments, it could be found that the bio-waste got to 61.48% and was fit for compost. The plastic and other compounds were 3.45% and treated by incineration easily. Average burning value of the mixed wastes was 5626.8KJ/Kg. it was less than 6000KJ/Kg. So, the whole waste wasn't fit for incineration. There were 67 trade markets of agricultural products in Hefei. The total waste outputs were up to 40.2 tons per day. The organic content was very higher and got to 95.65%. It equals to the outputs was 14.69 thousand tons per year and in the wastes there were about 14.09 thousand tons were organic wastes (bio-waste). It was obviously that the composting was the best way. The residents of experiment community had a large extent on participating and cognizing. The participants of doors were up to 53.6 to 65.5%. So the source separation could be put into practice in China. The effect of treated bio-wastes from composting by earthworms was a very prominent and steady. The treated amounts of waste were 0.957g/d/body and also the content of Nitrogen, phosphor and kalium in soil became higher and higher.
