Research On Tianjin's Municipal Solid Waste Treatment

As a key part of the tough question of environmental protection challenging human being in the 21-century, how to dispose municipal solid waste has become one of the troublesome tasks. It is well known that promptly waste disposal is the prerequisite for a clean, beautiful, civilised and modernized city. The main purpose of this project is to find out the stratagems and desirable methods that can be applied to Tainjin by dissecting the problem of municipal solid waste treatment. Firstly, the meaning and necessity is given in the project followed by the second chapter focusing on three techniques used in waste disposal: landfill, compost and incineration; the application of them nationally and internationally; some points suggested by some developed countries; the actual waste disposal in our country. In chapter three, problems in waste disposal in Tainjin is analysed and some progress is briefly presented. The fourth-part gives the conclusion about Tianjin's municipal solid waste treatment and economic assessment by modelling analysis, AHP ordering analysis on landfill, compost and incineration in Tianjin. In the final part of the project, a scheme about Tianjin's municipal solid waste treatment is designed and some suggestions are raised.
