The died rhizome of Polygonum Multiflorum Thunb (PMT) was selected as the material in this paper. Pharmacological investigations indicated that 2,3,5,4'-tetrahydroxystilbene-2-O-β-D-glucoside (THSG), a typical functional component found in PMT, contributed markedly to resisting caducity, reducing serum lipids, protecting liver, resisting tumour and meliorating memory.In this paper, macroporous resin which is easy to achieve a large-scale production was applied in THSG's separation,aimed to a better application in industry.The effect of each factor on THSG separation was reviewed by static state test of six kind of macroporous absorbing resin and the best condition of separating THSG was selected by dynamic state experiment.Static state test showed that the NKA-9 resin is appropriate to separate THSG and its absorbing volumn is 2.907 mg/g in static saturation state.In static state experiment the best extracting technology of THSG was as followedrvibrational absorbing state;pH 4 of sample;80% alcohol solution of separation solvent;20 ℃ of absorbing temperature. In this condition, NKA-9's aborbing ratio is 49.4 % and the ratio of desorption is 91.9% to THSG.Suggested from dynamic state experiment,the best extracting technology of THSG was as follows:80% alcohol solution of separation solvent;pH 4 of sample;1.0 ml/min of separation solvent's velocity of flow. In this condition, the pureness of THSG is 45.8 % and the reclaiming ratio is 80.2 %.
