Studies On The Isolation And Bioactivity Of Lycoside Compounds From Luffa Cylindrical (L.) Roem.

Towel gourds are the fresh fruits of Luffa which belongs to cucurbia ceae family. It has 8 varieties, distributing in the eastern hemisphere tropi cs and thesubtropics area. There are 2 varieties in China, Luffa cylindrical (L.) Roem. and Luffa acutangula Roxb., distributing in north and south pl ace in China. Towel gourds not only richly contains the many kinds of nu trition ingredients which the human body needs, but also includes the ma ny kinds of medicinal chemical components which possess improving im munity, easing pain, relieving a cough and anti-virus. In order to invest igate the pharmacology bioactive chemical constituents of Luffa cylindric al(L.) Roem. deeply, the isolation antiallergic effect and antioxidant acti vity of glycosides compounds was studied.The n-butanol extract of the fruits of Luffa cylindrical(L.)
