The Application Of Desulfurization With Ionic Liquids In Diesel Oil

Sulfur compounds in the diesel oil are converted by combustion to SO_x,which is a major source of acid rain and air pollution.To protect the environment against SO_x pollution, many countries recently have mandated a reduction in the sulfur content of fuels. Consequently, the deep desulfurization of fuels has attracted more and more attention in the research community worldwide.Traditional methods are limited or at least expensive for desulfurization, or the reagents they use have adverse effects on the environment. However, Extraction by the ionic liquids called green solvent is an alternative desulfurization process.Two methods that can decrease sulfur content using ionic liquids have been studied in this thesis, including direct extraction and oxidation extraction. The efficiency of desulfurization of FCC diesel oil and hydrogen-handled diesel oil by ionic liquids has been studied. There are four kinds of ionic liquids in the experiments—1-methyl-3-octylimidazolium tetrafiuoroborate ([MOI M][BF₄]), 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium ethylsulfate([EMIM][EtSO₄]), 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium octylsulfate([BMIM][OcSO₄]), 1-butyl-3-methyl hexafluoroph-osphate ([BMIM][PF6]). By studying the effecting factors------temperature, reaction time,mass ratio of ionic liquid to diesel oil, volume ratio of H₂O₂ to HCOOH, we can derive the best reaction condition of each ionic liquid. [MOIM][BF₄] has the best efficiency of desulfurizationThe best reaction condition of desulfurization using the direct extraction with [MOIMKBF₄] is as follows.As for hydrogenous diesel oil,the best reaction condition is: temperature 50℃,mass ratio of reagent and diesel oil is l:3,reaction time is 30 minutes.the sulfur content in diesel oil decreases from 210ppm to 135ppm;As for FCC diesel oil,the best reaction condition is: temperature 50℃,mass ratio of reagent and diesel oil is 1:2,reaction time is 40 minutes,the sulfur content in diesel oil decreases from 4400ppm to 3050ppm.The best reaction condition of desulfurization using the oxidazation extraction with [MOIMKBF₄] is as follows.As for hydrogenous diesel oil,the best reactionIonic Liquid;Desulfurization;Extraction...
