The cleaning trough is the key component of the soil-cleaning machine, and its property is significant for the effect of the machine. When the vanes rotates in the cleaning trough, they change the distribution of the flow field , and the velocity distribution near the outlet, so the cleaning property change directly. In this thesis, the three-dimension CFD code STAR-CD is used to simulate the flow field in the trough, and based on this, the author analyses the principle of the soil-cleaning machine and the factors which affect the cleaning effect. In this thesis, CFD software is used to establish the static model and transient model of the cleaning trough. After simulating the models of the cleaning trough, the velocity distribution can be obtained. Based on the analysis of the velocity field, the result shows that the velocity near the outlet has affect on the cleaning effect, but the rotation speed of the varies, the leaning angle of the vane and the height of the outlet have effect on the distribution of the flow field in the trough, moreover affect the velocity near the outlet. On the basis of the judgement criterion of HITACHI offering that the velocity taking the soil grain which diameter is smaller than 75umor is 75um needs 0.08m/s, based on it, judging whether the velocity near the outlet is rational.Based on above analysis, the auther puts forward improving the cleaning effect and increasing the work efficiency of the soil-cleaning machine by changing the height difference of the outlet in bothosides, the rotation speed of the vanes, the leaning angle of the vane and the height of the outlet. The thesis offers reference foundations with the applied value for accurately optimizing the cleaning trough.
