Preparation of industrial production is now the main application of aluminum electrolysis. The main equipment needed is alumium electrolysis trough. By researching the Aluminum reduction trough in China and abroad, we found that the traditional stability of fluid flow in the aluminum electrolytic trough, electrode distance, thermal conductivity, and the magnetic field have some flaw. This article will elaboration the flaw of tradition electric trough and take the simulation to the former industrial equipment’s target parameter as the foundation, the electrical energy efficiency has created lowly in the industry electric trough the huge electrical energy consumption, These above also stimulated the people to seek the new aluminum trough and the new aluminum electrolysis craft reduces the energy consumption the enthusiasm. The aluminum trough energy conservation falls the method which consumes to have two kinds, one kind raises the current efficiency, another kind reduces the trough voltage, reduces the distance between electrodes. However existing large-scale baked aluminum trough current efficiency to be highest in advance already achieved above95%, raised the current efficiency through each method to reduce the energy consumption again, the result cannot be well. But existing bakes the trough distance between electrodes in advance generally above4cm, enables the trough voltage also to achieve above4.5V, this for reduced the distance between electrodes and the reduced energy consumption has provided the very big space. But regarding existing ordinary bakes the trough in advance, the distance between electrodes will reduce will affect electric trough’s thermal equilibrium, even if moreover the distance between electrodes cannot reduce in the thermal equilibrium permission scope is too big, mainly will be because the distance between electrodes will reduce easily to cause the electrolysis not to be unstable. At the same time it will cause the aluminum fluid to have the fluctuation and cut the current efficiency. For can reduce the aluminum trough distance between electrodes effectively, reduces the energy consumption, we need to make the improvement to the existing electric trough structure and use the new electric trough structure. This article will highlight the advantages and shortcomings of traditional trough and designed a new diversion aluminum reduction trough. The structure of the trough is trying to make some improvement program, to reduce the electrode distance and improve the current efficiency, reduce energy consumption. At the same time, we also refer to the previous trough parameters as verified by experiment the feasibility of this new type of flow channel, and determine the minimum use of the new trough pole of diversion from the average trough voltage and the best working conditions, and finally make a conclusion. The new trough production has a relatively broad space for development and application prospects to practice in the industry.
