Especially the predatory exploitation to nature in the capitalism and industrialization times and the blind development of economy in the developing countries lead to population explosion, environmental pollution, vegetation destruction, resource impoverishment, and evocable crisis of food, energy, and ecology, etc. All of these inevitably destroy the washy ecosystem. Thus, the existence and development of mankind are greatly challenged. How to avoid that the cruel scene of The silence spring to become a real-life, how to avoid that the people are plunged into an abyss of misery due to the fight for the resources, and how to restore the favourable relationship and keep sustainable development between man and nature, man and man, and man and society have become a major problem for us to solve.Through historically reviewing the view of nature of Chinese ancient Unity of Heaven and Man and western modern Separation of Heaven and Man, this paper re-integrates the view of Unity of Heaven and Man, which advocates that man and everything in the world is an entire relation dependent on each other, men should protect nature, treat it well, respect it, and seek a kind of a ideal personality which is perfect both inside or and outside, and has both ability and political integrity, in order to realize Society of Great Harmony. In the other, we also should select the rational kernel of the western modern Separation of Heaven and Man, which advocates science, conquer nature, and pursue the well-being, in order to construct a modern new harmonious sustainable development between man and nature of contradictionwith the unity of opposites.This paper consists of there chapters. Chapter One mainly discusses the rise and definition of sustainable development, and the difficulty it is faced with currently. Chapter Two attempts to seek a new approach to break through the difficult situation by contrasting Chinese ancient Unity of Heaven and Man and western modern Separation of Heaven and Man. Chapter Two also scientifically constructs modern harmonious sustainable development of heaven and man by re-arranging the reasonable genes of Chinese ancient Unity of Heaven and Man and western modern Separation of Heaven and Man.
