The FEM Research On Shutting Mould Structure Of Die Casting Machine Based On ANSYS

Die-casting is one of the most important casting methods in machinery industry. It is high efficient and needs little or no cutting during processing. Die-casting is widely used in aeronautical industry, auto industry, electrical equipments, instruments and many other industrial areas because it gives excellent surface quality and high compactification to products.For Die Casting Machine, the Shutting Mold Structure is one of the most important parts. It effects the production efficiency, processing performance, precision and compactification of product, the gross weight and cost of the machine. Ever since long before, it has been a researching target for casting operators to ensure the good quality of production and debase rejection rate.Based on theory, the author introduces the principle of FEA on Shutting Mold Structure, and put forward an nonliner contact Analysis on Shutting Mold Structure of Die casting Machine by using ANSYS, a way to simulate the shutting mold structure systems' shutting mold process by numerical value analysis. The author's research work is to offer an more reasonable, more reliable, much higher efficiency and better quality way or method for design of shutting mold structure.At first the actuality of research on Shutting Mould Structure of Die Casting Machine is investigated in the paper, and the former methods on designing and analyzing shutting mold structure are described. Then the FEM on shutting mold structure's contact and non-liner analysis is brought forward, followed by the theory about FEM on simulating contact, including the FEM equation, solving project, the process of solving, etc. Then the capability of ANSYS on solving Contact problem is researched, such as sort of contact, choice of element and mesh. Finally, H-450D Die Casting Machine's Shutting mold structure is taken for example, the contact nonlinear analysis on its shutting Mold process is simulated, and it is consisted of building of the mold, preprocessor, the research on real constant such as FTOLN, FKN and the results of analysis.
