The mould is one of the key devices of continuous casting machine, and oscillation is the most marked character of the mould. So, research, calculation and test on dynamic characteristic of vibratory system become more and more important.Based on the factual test on vibratory system of the mould, the process of oscillation of the mould is analyzed particularly; Kinematics analysis and machine translation for the oscillation unit of the caster are made through using the theories of the mechanical principle, the methods of swing adjustment and the displacement and speed function are gained; From three dimensions, the original frequency, amplitude and dynamic load of the mould-oscillation unit are calculated and analyzed. The result of the calculation is that the system components have a low dynamic load, but its working frequency contains the original frequency, so it is possible to have a resonance. The conclusion drawn is that the poor damping and maintenance are the main causes for the problems. At last, the mould-oscillation system is optimized and the parameters are improved.The result of this subject could be used in many similar kind mechanisms. It will have more useful values.
