Study On Flocculation Of The Chinese Traditional Medicine Extrat

This project is a cooperate item with Tianjin Lerentang pharmaceutical factory,based on the characteristics of clarifying technology of the original liquid of YangyinQingfei syrup, replace the original technology with the flocculation, choose theoptimum flocculant, dosage, and logical flocculation process, which can shorten theclarifying period, reduce the cost, and improve the output.Firstly, the properties of the water extract and ethanol extract of Yangyin Qingfeisyrup were measured. Secondly, the optimum flocculant was selected throughsupernatant turbidity, settling rate and retention of effective constituent. The factorsuch as operating temperature, mixing speed and mixing time were investigated andoptimum conditions process for flocculating had been made by the experiments.What's more, through the surface chemistry (zeta potential) and TEM micrographs offloc structures, the mechanisms of 101 flocculant, ZTC 1+1 flocculant and chitosanwere investigated. In the end, it is verified that the flocculating method can replace theethanol sedimentation, and the flocculating method has prosperous prospect because itwas less expensive and more effective than ethanol sedimentation.
