In the hot rolling, the strip stress strain and temperature affect the distribution of the rolling mill load, the finishing plate thickness precision and structure performance. Using the finite element method as theoretical basis, the process of the hot rolling is simulated by the giant FEM soft-MSC.MARC/Mentat. FEM numerical simulation is a useful tool to simulate the hot rolling process, it could help to extend the mill life and improve the quality of the plate.According to Q235, this paper develop the 3D FEM model which consider the feature of rolling, material and contact nonlinear, interrelationship of stress strain and temperature and treat the load and boundary condition using the thermo-mechanical coupling method. Through the numerical simulation of hot rolling, the plastic deformation rule and the changes of stress strain temperature and rolling force is described. These results can be used for investigation of micro structural evolution and mechanical property predictionThe quality of hot rolling products is subject to many factors, especially the rolling speed and rolling schedule. To explore rolling processes parameters of the impact of rolling process, this paper using the 3D FEM model which individually change the speed and rolling schedule analysis the stress strain and temperature for the changes to improve and optimize the rolling processes provided theoretical guidance.
