The precise cold rolling technic is a kind of no-seam ring processing method, which can obtain the workpiece's finished shape and physical dimension by rollers forming the local and continuous plastic deformation to the workpiece in the room temperature. The technique has many advantages, such as saving material, increasing productivity, improving the quality of workpiece, economizing energy and so on. In 1980th using the technique to produce bearing ring was started in the overseas enterprises, and in 1990th domestic enterprises began to adopt and develop this technique and equipment. D55M series precision cold rolling machine is the first equipment developed and manufactured in our country which is widely used in domestic bearing industry.In the cold rolling machine's design and application, the kinematic scheme of machine is the key factor for bearing ring rolling. Aimed at D55M-60 cold ring machine the paper analyzes the geometry deformation and kinematics during the rolling process of bearing ring. The relationship between the bearing ring rolling deformation parameters and the machine feed movement parameters is researched. It also introduces the design method for parameters with practical application.The primary contents of the papers are:(1) The mechanics and geometry analysis. The bearing ring cold rolling is belonged to the non-rectangular cross-section rolling. Studying the inner ring rolling on the D55M-60 machine, the paper analyzes the cold rolling process of the bearing ring, and confirms the mechanical model of the bearing ring cold rolling and geometrical parameters.(2) The kinematical analysis in rolling process. During the ring rolling process, the motions of roller include the rotation of drive roller and the feed of mandrel. The feed of mandrel is the primary factor in ring rolling. Based on the work status of the D55M-60 machine and deformation process of the bearing ring, the paper researches the motions of drive roller, mandrel and ring, and defines the relation formula of its movements.(3) The design of the thickness reduction and feed velocity. The thickness reduction of the bearing ring rolling which is related to the feed rate of machine is a keyparameter in the rolling. Based on the parameters of the D55M-60 machine and the relative theory, the paper introduces a design method of the thickness reduction;Based on the hypothesis which the thickness reduction for per rotation is constant, the paper researches the relationship between thickness reduction and feed rate, designs the feed rate in the rolling technology.The results of the paper is valued for the design or manufacture of the rolling machine, the bearing ring rolling technology and is the foundation to the farther theory analysis in mechanics.
