Advanced machine tool is the product of synthetical application ofadvanced and new technique, and the hardware base of advancedmanufacturing system. From the aspects of machine tool design and application,the machine tool dynamic problem is the bottleneck problem that influencesmachine tool development. It is considered to machine dynamics, thestationarity produced when feeding guideway moves in low speed is the majorreason, which restricts the development and effects the precision of precisemachine. As a kind of new slideways, pneumatic half-floating slideways arealready applied widely in overseas. At present, there isn't any report aboutfuzzy optimization design of unloaded parameters of the pneumatichalf-floating slideways. So it is essential to study it.The main tasks of this paper are as follows: analyzing the pneumatichalf-floating slideways and its dynamical characters of transmission systemapplying knowledge of mechanical dynamics. Using the basic hydrodynamics,analyzing fluid character of discharge gap produced by roughness of pneumatichalf-floating slideways, and finding the relation between the pressure loss ofslideways gap and the configuration parameter of slideways. On the base ofthese, the dynamics model of pneumatic half-floating slide ways is established,and then mathematical model of pneumatic half-floating slide ways is gained.Establishing the fuzzy optimization model of pneumatic half-floating slideways applying fuzzy design theory and fuzzy optimization methods. At last,based on the thoughts of optimal programming, the author design the optimalprograms and get optimum solution by applying optimization tools of Matlabassociated the slideways example.The study on dynamics model and fuzzy optimization of unloadedparameters of the pneumatic half-floating slideways in this dissertation isfurther exploratory work, which is significant in theory and practice forimproving technical level of machine manufacturing in our country.
