| Placing type, characteristics, quantities and current handling situation for solid waste in Baotou Iron & Steel Company are analyzed in this thesis. The effect and causes of the solid wastes produced are appraised and the main problems have been finalized. Comparing the measures of Baotou Iron & Steel Company for handling solid waste with other companies, the target and index for combined utilization of solid waste in the company has been decided. The thesis achieves the aim of combined utilization of solid waste on the basis of prior principle of fundamental control, seeking diverse handling methods, perfecting resources utilization systems, realizing solid waste's un-harmful handling, strengthening area cooperation and excavating market capacity. The thesis also provides methods and measures for prevention of pollution and combined utilization of solid waste by minimum market price, higher efficiency and benefit in handling solid waste, in order to gradually meet the need of economy, society and environment development for Baotou Iron & Steel Company and its periphery distinct.
