Cyanide has been widely used to extract rare and precious metal from gold ore, and the environmental pollution and the recorvery of valuable constituent caused by the above procession become important subjects to experts around the world. This paper investigated adsorption and elution theory of cyanide with ion exchange fiber from the aspects of dynamics and thermodynamics, The effect of ultrasonic on adsorption of ion exchange fiber was emphatically studied. The method of ferricyanide elution was explored. This paper aims to provide foundation of theory and technology for industry application. The dynamics of the adsorption of ferricyanide with strong base anion ion exchange fiber by static method was dealed with in the paper, and the adsorptive isotherm was plotted, in addition, the adsorptive thermodynamic and kinetic parameter were measured. The effect of ultrasonic on the adsorption of ion exchange fiber was examined, and the effect of ultrasonic on the elution of zinc and copper during the process of sulfuric and ammonia elution was studied, the explorationaJ experiment of ferricyanide elution was conducted, Furthermore, the process of dynamic adsorption and static elution was studied, the breakthrough curve of cyanide was plotted, the adsorption and elution effect of ion exchange fiber, felt of ion exchange fiber and ion exchange resin were compared. The results showed liquid membrane diffusion is the key control step of strong base anion ion exchange fiber adsorbing cyanide, adsorption rate constant kferricyanide= 0.0879min-1, kferrocyanide=0.1989min-1, karsenic=0.3102min-1,thermodynamic parameters ΔHZn=-15.11 KJ·mol-1, ΔHCu=-17.04 KJ·mol-1, ΔHFe=25.44KJ·mol-1, and adsorptive process according to Freundlich equation. When T=293K, ΔG = -2.68kJ · mol-1, ΔS = 95.9J·mol-1-K-1. Ultrasonic can lead to reducement of concentration total cyanide;Ultrasonic has some effect on adsorption performance, the adsorption rate of copper can be increased 10%. The higher the frequency and power of ultrasonic, the higher the adsorption rate of cyanide. The zinc and copper elution rate can be increased 5% and 8% when the process of sulfuric acid elution waspowered by ultrasonic, but the process is harmful for the recovery of zinc;the copper elution rate can be increased 5% when the process of ammonia elution was powered by ultrasonic. The elution results showed that there would be a definite effect after the fiber was treated by sodium cyanide after elution by sulphuric acid and ammonia, then with sodium nitrate. The comparing results showed that the adsorptive capacity of ion exchange fiber is better than felt of ion exchange fiber and ion exchange resin.
