This dissertation is composed of five parts as following:Part one: Review. The history, structure, classification, and furtheropportunities of heteropoly compounds were reviewed in this part;The research state of heteropoly compounds containing halogen elements, vanadium and cobaltmolybdenum were summarized.Part two: A new simple method of producing NH4V3O8 and (NH4)2V6O16 has been reported in this paper. This two compounds are characterized by element analysis, infrared spectrum, inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrum and X-ray powder pattern at room temperature.Part three: A new complex [Na2(H2O)10](NH4)3(NH3)[MoV9O28] has been synthesized and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The structure of the anion [MoV9O28]5- has a molybdenum atom mixing with nine vanadium atoms at certain positions in the similar backbone of the decanucleus structure.Part four: A new compound [Na(H2O)2]6[MoCo6O12(H2O)12]·4.3H2O has been synthesized and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The structure of the anion [MoCo6O12(H2O)12]6- has a hexagonal plane structure composed of a central Mo ion surrounded by six octahedron CoO6 groups. Each CoO6 shares an edge with each of its two neighboring CoO6 and another edge with the MoO6 octahedron. This is similar to the Anderson-type structure. This new complex is colbaltmolybdate described.Part five: A new Anderson-type compound has been synthesised and characterized by infrared spectrum, UV, element analysis, ICP, X-ray powder pattern, thermal study (TG), et al. Their general molecular formular is Na2[I4Mo2WO24]·10H2O. This new compound is an Anderson-type periodates.
