It has been stated by the investigation in 2001 that only 36.3 percent of 350 cities have passed Grade two national standard, While there are 223 cities which have exceeded the National Secondary Standard, which is 63.7 percent of all investigated cities, There were 109 cities in these cities which had exceeded the National Tertiary Standard, which is 31.1 percent of all the investigated cities.To effectively control and improve atmospheric particulates pollution, qualitative or quantitative analysis of atmospheric particulates pollution is needful. It need analyze the sources of atmospheric particulates, For taking effective approaches to the particulates pollution. Scientists transfer the point of view from discharge source to receptor(a local atmospheric environment is effected by polluted source), have created receptor models, then gradually form a series of analyzing source technology, Which can determine the receptor contributive value caused by various pollution source according to chemical or microscopic analysis on atmospheric particulates sample and source sample.The article fully concludes that atmospheric particulates do harm to human being and social production. On this understanding, analyzing the development trends of Chinese urbanization and its causing to environmental problem, and bringing up the relation of-TSP producing and urbanization, the article also explains the chemical balance method adopted by China now. The chemical quality balance method are not feasible to the small and medium cities on the urbanization developing level and the economy carrying capacity.
