The results, which were obtained by investigation and assessment on heavy metal pollution of Chinese Medicinal Herbs and their cultivated soils in Guizhou Province, are as follows:1. Compared with Environmental Quality Standard for soils,GB15618-1995,the soil of Chinese Medicinal Herb base has suffered from pollution of Cd and Cu,the No.2,No.7 and No.8 bases are at the level of alertness; The bases of No.1,No.3,No.5 are polluted lightly, whose the quality of soil fall short of the demand for GAP.2. Compared with the background values of heavy metal in soil, the soils of No.1,No.2, No.3, No.5,No.8,No.9,No.11 have suffered from the varying degree pollution separately. The No.9 base is at the level of alertness; The No.2,No.8 and No.11 bases are in the light pollution; The No.3 and No.5 bases are in the moderate pollution, the soils and the crops receive the moderate pollution. The No.1 base is in the heavy pollution,in which the soils and the crops are polluted badly.3. The contents of heavy metals Pb,Cu,Cd,Hg are the highest in stem and leaf Chinese Medicinal Herbs, while Pb is the highest in cortexes and As is the highest in flower and fructifications.
