As a new type of "Green Adhesive", uv-curable adhesive applied in low energy surface has became the market demand.According to the low energy matieral and the feature of the UV curing system,studying on the adhesive that can be used in low energy surface will provide some valuable information for research and application.The performance of adhesive such as curing speed, adhesion, adhesion strength, wet and heat aging and resistance to weather was studyed in this paper.The influence of acuring degree, adhesion, and adhesion strength on the UV curing adhesives were discussed chiefly, and it was found that they had great effects on the performance of the adhesive.The influence of shrinkage percentage on the adhesion strength was researched by the orthogonal test. The influence of surface treatment and the condition of adhesion on the adhesive were researched.The theory of the adhesion was discussed briefly. Moreover,dual-curable system was adopted to overcome the limitations of curing degree of thick film.Effects of dual curing system on properties of adhesive was discussed.The compounded UV curing adhesives' properties such as curing speed, surface tension,adhesion,flexility,curing degree,shrinkage percentage and surface condition was tested.In order to meet the need of experiment, the simulant condition was found to test the performance of aging and the resistance to weather.The experiment show: Types and amount of prepolymer is the most important factor on the adhesive.6079 and 6148J was selected and the ratio is7:3(50% of the total).Monomer is another factor. IBOA and TPGDA was used, the ratio is 7:3(45% of the total).Photoinitiator influenced the curing speed and the curing degree.ITX and EDAB was choosed and the best ratio is 1:1.Shrinkage percentage is the major factor on the adhesion strength, determined by the contraction percentage.Some additives can help reducing the surface tension and improving the adhesion.Dual-curable system can improve properties of UV coatings, especially enhance the curing degree, abrasion rsistance of adhesive and reduce the shrinkage of system.By mass experiment, uv cured adhesive which has low surface tension, good stickness, high reactivity and rapid curing was developed. Some samples provided for the cooperant company have acquired good effect.
