Friction and wear are very common phenomena in the nature. Wear and lubrication technology develop as society goes forward. Application of wear and improving wear resistance measure are very important for productive force and at the same time contribute to the progress of the society. That ancient people ever ground stone as weapon for hunting and tool for labor is a good example for application. The appearance of metal weapon and the progress of production technique, along with the development of different tools and commodities, depend on the application of wear and the improvement of wear technique. Wear is also the main reason for wasting material and resource. Consequently, wear is a key problem in the development of economy. Research workers domestic and overseas are studying the basic theory of wear to avoid and reduce it.Because the service condition and the invalidation mode of parts are complicated, the anti-failure indexes of parts must be found in order to make the mechanical property of the material satisfy the using demands of parts. Since it's impossible to confect a universal material for all kind of uses, different materials must be developed for certain conditions. Casting technology used wildly ever for producing wearproof material can't satisfy the capability requirement in complicated work conditions.In view of reasons mentioned above, a new material is needed to be developed. However, Powder metallurgy is the ideal and potential material processing technology to solve the problem.As powder metallurgy is used widely on parts, the deep study of wearability of parts is needed. The task of this subject is studying the wearability of valve seat in car engine and gear in electric tools. The wearability of Fe powder metallurgy sinter material is researched in this paper, and the study includes :1)dynamic design of moldbase for pressing complicated parts; 2)wear condition under different pressures; 3)wear conditions under different rotational speeds; 4)wear conditions under different ingredients; 5)wear conditions under different kinds of lubrication oil.
