A new composition of Pyrotechnically Generated Aerosols is prepared in this paper. Firstly a series of composition is designed according to the basic required ingredients of pyrotechnic material and zero oxygen balance. Secondly Initial prescription is got by orthogonal design way, Thirdly fire extinguishing efficiency, combustion rate, pH and corrosiveness are evaluated. Then compositions are selected, improved and optimized, so a practical composition of New Antiseptic Pyrotechnically Generated Aerosols is got. Preparation parameters of New Antiseptic Pyrotechnically Generated Aerosols are studied by burning rate experiment, so we get the best parameters: density, granularity and covering way. The structure and performance of New Antiseptic Pyrotechnically Generated Aerosols are obtained using FT-IR, TG and DSC. The analysis shows: the percentage between oxidizer and reducing agent, the quality of strontium nitrate is very important to the properties of New Antiseptic Pyrotechnically Generated Aerosols.Finally after being tested by XPS and SEM the extinguishing principle is studied.It manifests that New Antiseptic Pyrotechnically Generated Aerosols will be potentially extensive application in firefight equipment market.
