Since the unique structure, carbon nanotubes have outstanding properties in the axis direction. Large numbers of studies have shown that aligned array carbon nanotubes had far-ranging uses. But It greatly limit their application ranges that carbon nanotubes must deposit on heat-resistant rigid substrate.This text explored technologies of prepare and transfer of aligned array carbon nanotube films containing aligned array carbon nanotubes with flexible substrate and free of substrate. The morphology and characteristics of the films and adhesive layers were investigated via SEM and TEM. Analyzed the influence of polymer filling, plasma etching and other conditions on forming free-substrate aligned array carbon nanotube films. And the electrical conductance and adsorb characteristic of transfer carbon nanotubes were detected.Research results demonstrated that sticky glue can be used as a transfer tool to re-assemble aligned carbon nanotubes from deposit substrate to a new flexible or rigid substrate. It is clearly shown that the MWCNTs in the film separated may be kept aligned array. Free-substrate aligned carbon nanotube films can be obtained by control polymer viscosity and plasma etching parameters. And aligned carbon nanotube films' axial properties can be completely utilized after transfer.
