As the food components, sweet potato leaves, stalks and stems were absolutely neglected before the 1960's. With the development of science and technology, more and more people began to attach importance to the value of sweet potato vines. In the world, most materials of extracting flavonoids were herbs, which were not only limited, but also was expensive. It resulted the increasing of operating costs. Taking sweet potato vines which was the castoff of farm produce as raw material, we studied comprehensive pilot test on extracting FSPV in sweet potato vines and had remarkable efficacy on pharmacology and nutrition, found the optimization technical parameter on comprehensive pilot test, and also studied the technology of separation and physiological activity of FSPV. The thesis expectantly provided stabile theoretical and practical foundation for large-scale industrialized production of flavonoids' functional foods and medical materials.In our country, the sweet potato vines not only had fruitful quantities, but also had lots of kinds. There was great variety of flavonoids content in different sweet potato vines. Six representative kinds of sweet potato (Xushul8, Nanshu88, Ning p-4, Wanshul,Yusu303 and Jinshan291) were selected, Spectrophotometry was used to measure the quantity of flavonoids which extracted from their vines with ethanol. The results indicated Spectrophotometry was simple, rapid and reliable. The quantity of flavonoids from Xushul8 was the highest. So, we selected Xushul8 as the raw material of comprehensive pilot extraction. In order to adequately utilize the sweet potato vines, we used the material which firstly be extracted the PSPV to distill FSPV. The quantities of dry sweet potato vines were 2.5~4.0kg on comprehensive extracting FSPV every time(which was 250-400 multiples to the small experiment's). After repeating and validating the yield of FSPV in different condition, the optimum technologies were: range of the vacuum was 0.05~0.06MPa, the solid-liquid ratio was 1:30, extracting temperature was 63°C, the concentration of ethanol was 70%, extracting time was 4 hours, one time to distill, and the yield of FSPV was 2.11%.The FSPV of comprehensive pilot production was impure, in order to improve the purification, we should refine FSPV.
