Silane cross-linked HDPE was prerared using twin-screw extruder, with DCP as initiator, and vinyl triethoxysilane (VTES) as grafting agent, and DBTDL as catalyst. The effects of content of DCP and silane on gel content were studied, the formulation preparation technology of silane cross-linked HDPE using as modifier of HDPE/GF composite were determined.The mechanical properties were characterized, and the results showed glass fiber improved the tensile strength of HDPE evidently, The tensile strength of HDPE/GF with 30% glass fiber is 2.5 times of pure HDPE. Good comprehensive properties were obtained when M-POE was introduced to HDPE/GF.The non-isothermal crystallization kinetics of HDPE/GF were investigated via differential scanning calorimetry(DSC). Non-isothermal crystallization process was described by Jezioray method and Ozawa equation. The kinetics parameters were obtained, and the results showed that glass fiber changed the mechanism of Non-isothermal crystallization of HDPE.
