Photocatalytic oxidation technology is a new-style wastewater treatment technology, whose virtues are high treatment efficiency, simple technics equipment, operating condition controlling easily, degradation organics pollution without selectivity and without second pollution. At the same time, fly ash is the solid waste of burnt-coal , abundant of fly ash is badly endangring the surrounding environment. At present, only 30% fly ash is used in our country, but its environmental protecting value has been regarded. This paper introduces the character of fly ash and actuality, expatiating the truth of light catalysis, carrying on the discussion and summaries to the technical applied present condition of domestic and international light catalysis. And the aim of the paper is to produce a kind of effective and economical photocatalyst for the degradation of waste water and to pave a new way for the utilization of fly ash.Firstly, the experiment uses the fly ash and Ti(SO4)2 to make a solid light catalyst, then carried on the discussion towards using up the catalyst to the light catalyst efficiency of a methylic orange。50mL Ti(SO4)2(0.2M)aqua mixed with 1.6g fly ash, add NH4HCO3 aqua to deposit, after filtration, the deposition is calcined under 500℃.On this condition, the product's photocatalytic effect is the best.This photocatalyst was used to increaze the reaction rate of the organic compound in the printing and dyeing waste water. The influencing factors of the degradation efficiency was also studied. We conclude that this kind of photocatalyst has good organic compound degradation efficiency and industry value. The degration of methyl violet can reach more than ninty percent. And the fly ash is available and not expensive.The preparation of the coated photocatalyst is also not complicated.More important,it can be reclaimed and reused. The experiment proved that when it was reused, its performance can still be very satisfied. So, a new way for organic compound degration and utilization of fly ash is paved and the future is bright.The paper aslo tallied up the applied present condition in the metals ion processing of the photocatalytic technique, and the processing technique development of the present stage Pb2+.
