Phthalic acid esters was one of the most important environment hormone in water environment. Though the people researched and developed a series of arts and crafts to deal PAEs, the crafts weren't satisfying and could't availably and completely deal PAEs with innocuity. The paper aimed at removing PAEs in solution and researched PAEs were dealed by active carbon, Fenton reagent, Fenton reagent + active carbon, microwave + Fenton reagent + active carbon respectively. The results showed :①Active carbon had stong capacity to adsorb PAEs. The removal ratio of PAEs were effected by the mass of active carbon, concentration of PAEs, pH value, adsorption time. The removal ratio of DMP, DEP, DBP were 90% above and that of DOP, DEHP were 70% above with active carbon 1.0g, [PAEs]=0.6mg·L-1, pH=3, t=40h. The mechanism of active carbon adsorbing PAEs indicated that physical adsorption was the primary adsorption.②PAEs can't be decomposed by alone H2O2. By Fenton reagent, the removal ratio of PAEs was improved, which was 97.1%, 89.5%, 84.3% respectively with [Fe2+]=0.1mol·L-1, [H2O2]=6.7 mol·L-1, [PAEs]=6 mg·L-1, T=60℃, pH=3, t=20h.③The average removal ratio of PAEs was 99.1% with [PAEs]=30mg?L-1, [H2O2]=30%, [Fe2+]=0.1mol·L-1, active carbon 1.0g, pH=3, t=15h by the way of Fenton reagent and active carbon. Fenton reagent + active carbon had a broad range of pH than Fenton reagent alone. Active carbon had sorption and catalysis at the same time.④Under the microwave radiation and the system of Fenton reagent + active carbon decomposing PAEs, the reaction velocity was faster, and reaction time was shorter. The removal ratio of DMP, DBP, DEHP were about 90% with [PAEs]=6 mg·L-1, [Fe2+]=0.06mol·L-1, [H2O2]=4.1 mol·L-1, [H2O2]/ [Fe2+]=68:1, microwave power 480W, microwave radiation time 4 min, pH=3. The bigger PAEs molecule was, the easier PAEs were decomposed. Under the condition, the reaction accorded with a first-order kinetics law.
