In the process of tunnel excavating, the deformation of rock around tunnel and the stability of tunnel are always an important question to the worker who work in the mine and the people who research in Rock Mass Mechanics. In this thesis, author research in the tunnel excavating below -270m level in Jinshandian Iron Mine of Wuhan Steel Mine Corporation. Author research the effect of different structural parameters to the deformation of rock around tunnel and tunnel supporting technology in the process of tunnel excavating.This thesis consists of the following chapters:The 1st chapter is the exordium part, which simply introduces the subject of Rock Mass Mechanics and Engineering, and reviews the researching actuality at home or abroad in the deformation of rock around tunnel and tunnel supporting technology. At the same time, it also indicates the main content and significance of this thesis.The 2nd chapter introduces the theory about the deformation of rock around tunnel. It includes the principal of rock destroy, the factors which influence rock quality and the classification of rock. And it analyzes the stress of tunnel shaped with circle.The 3rd chapter introduces the theory about tunnel supporting technology. It includes the classification of supporting, the principal of tunnel supporting technology and the factors which influence supporting quality. Combining the theory of supporting technology with the method of engineering analogy, author design an intelligent system for tunnel supporting.The 4th chapter is the keystone of this thesis. Author design two models according to the structural parameters of the tunnel excavating in the mine. Then it simulates the real situation with these two models by Finite Element Soft (ANSYS). By analyzing and comparing with the simulation's result of theses two models, we obtain some significant principals for the practice of tunnel excavating.The 5th chapter is the epilogue part. Through summing up the whole paper, we explain the insufficiency existing, and make a prospect of the future development.
