Following the new technique application of steelmaking and continuous casting, it must decrease the cost of steelmaking and continuous casting and increase the productivity. The development of new tundish working lining material successfully and the application of compound masonry technique of refractory can improve the tundish continuous casting heats and the productive efficiency of continuous caster, which supplying the condition of high efficiency continuous casting.Based on the analyzing of current state of the billet continuous casting tundish working lining in ANYANG Iron & Steel Group Co. LTD and the development and application of the tundish working lining material all over the world, the tundish working lining material was chosen and designed, and the new non-stopper steel stream protection of billet continuous casting technology was developed, which realized the combining of tundish basic dry vibratory material, sizing nozzle changing rapidly and steel stream protection continuous casting technology.The basic dry vibratory material was used as the tundish inner lining, and fused magnesite instead of partly magnesite clinker during the mixture of slag line material, which improved the anti-slag property of basic dry vibratory material. The multiple tundish lining positioner was designed and compound burnt strike plate was adopted, which improved shock resistance of steel in the shock zone of tundish heel and lengthened the complex service life of tundish. Combining with the production condition of ANYANG Iron & Steel Group Co. LTD, the hydraulic sizing nozzle changing rapidly device was designed, which decreased the production accident and protected the stabilization production and the maintenance of equipment.Using the new tundish design, the average service life of tundish was increased from 13 heats to over 100 heats, and the average service time was increased from 6.5 hours to over 39 hours, which reached the advanced level in China.Based the above condition, many autonomous techniques were developed around the core of 120 mm X 120 mm non-stopper steel stream protection of billet continuous casting technique, which improved the production rhythm of continuous caster and the billets quality.
