Systematic study on the preparation process, properties, reaction mechanism and application effect of cationic Starch-chitosan-polyacrylamide (CS-CTS-PAM) copolymers is described in this paper, thereafter constructive viewpoints and new methods are put forward. The summarizing of research is as follows:The graft copolymers were synthesized with the basic material of cationic cassava starch and chitosan and acrylamide initiated by ceric ammonium nitrate in this paper. The optimal condition: reaction temperature 60 °C, initiator concentration 5mmol·L-1, mass ratio of starch and acrylamide 1:2 , reaction time 3h was obtained through orthogonal experiments with the target of polymerization ratio and graft efficiency. The influence of individual factors was analyzed in detail with the two targets.Graft copolymerization reaction was initiated by compound initiator of ammonium ceric nitrate and potassium persulfate .When [Ce4+]:[S2O82-]=2:5, initiation effect is best and polymerization ratio of reaction can reach 99% which is tower any initiator used exclusively .Grafting efficiency run up to 85% which...
