In the process of die and mould manufacture, applying the high-speed milling technology appeals to most manufacturers for its great increases in material removal rate, machining accuracy, and surface quality, and while great reduces in machining cost. It is very imperative to study and develop die&mould high-speed milling database to provide appropriate milling parameters for the die&mould manufacturing industry and to promote high-speed mill technology in the die&mould manufacturing.It is the main aim of die&mould high-speed milling database system to serve die&mould manufacturing industry. In order to satisfy the requirement of practical die&mould machining application, database system collect, analyse, and treat much correlation aspect data information. The design and realization of database part of die&mould high-speed mill database system is studied in detail in the paper. On the basis of the requirements analysis, using design method of face data, and bringing forward concept data model of die&mould high-speed mill database system, and then using Microsoft SQL Server 2000 as data base management platform and doing the structural design of data base (include logical design and physical design), and founding the each connection mode and corresponding index; object Oriented Programming language Visual Basic...
