The numerical simulation of extinguish full-scale fire by water mist which is the one most important method of research on extinguish fire by water mist. The method is low cost and could replayed the process of extinguish fire by water mist on PC, which can give some useful information in assessing the associated design data and fixing of water mist fire protection system. Today, the developed country has researched on the numerical simulation of extinguish fire by water mist, and obtained some useful information, but internal research is none.In chapter 1, the history of numerical simulation of extinguish fire is introduced. The development trend and application status of numerical simulation of extinguish fire are introduced. At last, the significance and the content of research on numerical simulation of extinguish fire are put forward.In chapter 2, the fire simulate are introduced, and the software of fire simulate have compared. The advantages and disadvantages of this software are presented, and the fire field model Fire Dynamics Simulator FDS4.03 available in the thesis. The software FDS are detailed introduced and the equation about sprinkler and fire suppression by water in it are important discussed.In chapter 3, numerical simulation of 2B pool fire from ignition to steady combustion, fix on the best parameter in FDS. Numerical simulation of the spray from the sprinkler with single orifice, and wrote the spk file for the sprinkler.
