This paper investigates the fracture problem of the silver-tube detonating cord during the vibration test for, which is a new type of pyrotechnic system used for preventing the harm of the radio-frequency and electromagnetic radiation, and more particularly, investigates the mechanism and the cause of the said fracture problem, as well as the measures taken for improvement.The main achievements are as follows:(1) The fracture mechanism of the silver-tube detonating cord of non-electric detonating system during the vibration test has been determined through the study on the three principles for cumulative damage caused by vibration: Miner linear damage principle, Marko-Stange non-linear damage theory as well as the Henry non-linear damage theory, and the study on the calculation of the damage caused by sinusoidal load or random load by using the damage mechanism.(2) Basing on the theory research and the previously acquired achievements of the same subject, the cause and the regularity of the fracture problem of the silver-tube detonating cord during the vibration test has been determined through the pertinent research on the relation and mechanism between fixture design, product fixing method, vibration asperity these three factors and the fracture problem. And after taking some proper improvement measures, such fracture problem has been thoroughly solved.The successful solution of the fracture problem of the silver-tube detonating cord of non-electric detonation system during the vibration test not only insures the quality and manufacture schedule of the products, but is also of importance for the process control of the mechanical test and the development of the non-electric detonating system.
