Detonation Characteristics Research And Engineering Application Of SY Mild Detonating Fuse

In order to grasp the detonation properties and engineering application characteristics of pyrophoric mild detonating fuse charge of SY, this paper studied the rules of detonation of SY which were from explosion mode, detonation speed test, sympathetic detonation safety, T-shaped as well as "one into three" booster detonation; To further study engineering application characteristics of SY mild detonating fuse, papers tested cutting rupture of ABS plastic, HDPE circular and steel, as well as detonating industrial explosives and detonating cord. Through a series of tests, conclusions as the followings:(1) Electric ignition head or shock-conducting was assembled with a metal shell tube and soft detonating cord together, which cannot make SY mild detonating cord of diameter between Φ1.0mm to Φ2.0mm detonate, but plastic detonating cord SY can be directly detonated; after adding a 30mg B/KNO3 or 15mg NHN grain, pressing powder pressure at 70MPa, SY metal detonation cord diameter range in Φ1.6mm-Φ2.0mm can be detonated in low detonation velocity. But using 15mg LA replacing B/KNO3 or NHN, all kinds of SY flexible detonation fuse can detonate with high detonation velocity.(2) This paper used target-line method to test SY mild detonating fuse detonation velocity, The experiments show that when SY detonating fuse’s diameter range in Φ1.0mm～Φ2.0mm, its velocity of detonation can be 5305m/s,5445m/s,5642m/s,5691m/s, 5597m/s,5859m/s; this kind of detonating fuse’s safety distance for axial sympathetic detonation is 17mm,14mm,11mm,9mm,7mm,5mm and parallel sympathetic detonation is 280mm,370mm,190mm,225mm,170mm,165mm.(3) The velocity of detonation is 3984m/s、4519m/s、4903m/s of SY plastic mild detonation fuse, which linear density is 9.6g/m、10.5g/m、11.7g/m(4) Papers studied on the rules of detonation propagation of SY metal mild detonating fuse. Two types detonation:"T-shaped" and "one into three" were tested, conclusions as the followings:in the case of a side blasting, SY soft detonating cord could conduct the T-shaped booster, and the bigger diameter of the more reliable booster,and soft detonating cord was explosived detonation with high detonation velocity; After a SY soft detonating cord was fired, it could form a "into the three" booster with three roots of the same diameter of detonating cord spliced, and the bigger diameter of the more reliable booster, and soft detonating cord was detonated with high detonation velocity.(5) SY metal mild detonating fuse has the strong lateral energy output, it can cut nonmetal material easily, which can meet the net making needs and realize contacting blasting at a node. Using 50mm SY plastic mild detonating fuse can detonate industrial explosives and 15mm SY plastic mild detonating fuse can detonate industrial detonation fuse, in a sense, it can substitute industrial detonator in the future.
