The mechanical characteristics of gas-filled coal is experimentally studied, the double effective stresses (i.e. Primary stress and structural effective stress) determining the deformation and damage of gas-filled coal is proposed, and the changing law of effective porous pressure coefficient during the whole stress-strain course is revealed. The deformation and damage of gas-filled coal characteristic of a .Based on the experimental study on the volume strain and permeability of rock sample, this paper presents a formula, describing the characteristic of permeability affected by stress level and porosity, which can be used as an important coupling correlation for the coupling problem between flow and solid in the porous rock. The experiments suggest that the stress level in the country rock considerably affects the volume strain in the rock.According to the seep mechanics, rock mechanics and elastic-plastic mechanics. We can establish the mathematical model coupled by gas porous flow field and deformation field of rock and coal, and give the numerical solution, At the same time, establish the new criterion by the breaking stress, On the basis of above, use the program of finite element and simulate the process of coal and gas outburst process , start and development on the excavating working face . Then we can get quantity and intension of coal and gas outburst. It provides some theory to much better analysis and forecast the cause of the coal and gas outburst.This study shows that it is stress, field of seepage , deformation of coal , gas presser and lateral presser, influence coupled by gas porousflowfield and deformation field of rock and coal and lateral presser which isto outburst, the relationship of gas presser and stress to outburst,influence of gas to reduce strength of coal when excavating working face is starting.
