This thesis mainly calculated the amount of rural non-point source pollution, analysed the pollution laoding and the pollution characters .By using the measures of complete survey, typical survey and aggregate analysis, this thesis has investigated the rural population, agricultural acreage, the amount of livestocks raising, the number of chemical fertilizers, rainfall, etc. Depending on the measures of statistic model and output factor, this thesis has acquired the amount of pollutants of production from rural non-point source, pollution loading and the pollutants discharged into Huaihe River from rural non-point source by the pollutants production coefficient and the coefficient of pollutant discharged into Huaihe River .The key research results of the paper are as follows:(1) The quantity of COD pollution loading from cropland system pollution source among 2001-2004 is: 556.45t, 553.57t, 533.54t, 539.88t.The NH3-N pollution loading is: 111.29t, 110.71t, 106.71t, 107.98t. (2) The quantity of COD pollution loading from rural domestic waste is: 460.13t, 456.89t, 445.00t, 438.51t. The NH3-N pollution loading is: 46.01t, 45.69t, 44.50t, 43.85t. (3) The quantity of COD pollution loading from livestock raising is: 1164.53t, 1404.21t, 1469.10t, 1389.96t. The quantity of NH3-N pollution loading from livestocks raising is: 6.31t, 7.53t, 7.88t,7.39t .(4)The amount of COD pollutant discharged into Huaihe River in Huainan section from rural non-point source in 2001-2004 is : 2181.12t,2414.67t,2447.64t,2368.35t . And the amount of NH3-N pollution is: 163.63t, 163.93t, 159.08t, 159.22t.(5) In the researching regions, the towns of Chengbei ,Maoji , Pingwei and Liuji are the important regions which discharged more COD . The quantity of COD discharged into Huaihe River is : 312.05t,292.79t,246.24t,222.87t . The towns of Maoji , Chengbei ,Jiaogang and Liuji are the emphases regions which discharged more NH3-N . The quantity of NH3-N discharged into Huaihe River is : 25.15t,21.26t,19.64t,15.61t.Based on the above researching ,this thesis analysed the characters and uptrend of the rural non-point soruce pollution in Huainan City of Huaihe River . This paper also indicated the emphases domains and regions that more pollutants have discharged into Huaihe River and put forward some controlling countermeasures in the towns in Huainan City near Huaihe River.
