In recent years, surfactant-templated synthesis strategies have been successfully applied to the preparation of a variety of mesoporous materials, these mesoporous materials have been used extensively in many fields. The choices of template have very important effects on the texture of mesoporous materials.In the present dissertation, mesoporous zirconia are prepare by a convenient process with cetyltrimethylammonium bromide(CTAB) and dioctadecyldimethylammonium chloride (DODAC) as templates, and zirconyl chloride octahydrate (ZrOCl28H2O) as zirconium resource.It is found that mesoporous zirconia can be obtained with CTAB as structure-directing agent. The effects of the processing parameters have been investigated. The processing parameters include the amount of CTAB, NaOH and H2O, aging time and hydrothermal conditions. N2-adsorption/des- orption, transmission election microscopy(TEM) and X-Ray diffraction (XRD) have been used to investigate the mesoporous structural properties. By analysis, the following points can be get:1. The amount of CTAB has an influence on the texture and phase structure of the oxides. But large BET surface areas do not necessarily correspond to the oxides under a large amount of CTAB.2. The amount of NaOH exertes a strong influence and appeared to be the most import parameters. At differerent pH, the surface area and phase composition is different.
