Dithiocarbamate is an especial compound, containing many heteroatom and functional group, such as nitrogen, sulfur ligands, it can form steady complex with many main and transition metal, Many of the obtained complex have some interesting chemical, physical and biological activity. In this paper, a novel dithiocarbamic chelating resin (PADC) containing nitrogen and sulphur was synthesized from polyacrylamide(PAAM), and the adsorption properties of PADC resin for heavy metal ion, the initiated property of the system PADC-Cu2+/Na2SO3/H2O for MMA and VAc, the catalysis of PADC-Pd in Heck reaction was investigated.1. A novel dithiocarbamic chelating resin (PADC) containing nitrogen and sulphur was synthesized from polyacrylamide(PAAM), then two catalysts PADC-Cu2+ and PADC-Pd were synthesized with PADC. Their structure was characterized by means of FTIR spectrum, XPS, EA, TG-DTA etc.2. The adsorption properties of PADC resin for Cu2+, Co2+, Pb2+, Ag+, Au3+ was studied systematically. The results indicate that the resin had excellent adsorption properties for noble and heavy metal ions, especially for Ag+. Adsorption of which could rapidly reach the balance within 0.5h. The adsorption capacity mounted to 11.2 mmol/g at 25℃and pH= 6.3. The system PADC-Cu2+/Na2SO3/H2O applied for the polymerization of MMA and VAc was studied, the results indicate that the system PADC-Cu2+/ Na2SO3/H2O can effectively initiate MMA and VAc polymerize. For MMA polymerization, the apparent activation energy Ea =57. 7KJ/mol, the molecular weight of obtained PMMA can be as high as 2.13×106, the yield can be 58.6% within 6 h, in addition, the catalyst can be reused with simpily treated. And it was primarily discussed that the polymerization maybe a free radical process, the primary radical was formed by"complex-hydron...
