Since ancient times, on the survival and development of human society has to traffic conditions for interdependence. As the most extensive and most basic form of transport, road traffic is gaining attention in the economic development.Since the opening of the first highway from Shanghai to Jiading in 1988, the highway construction has developed rapid. However, we should recognize that: on the one hand, road construction promotes the social and economic development; On the other hand, it has adverse effects on the environment. With increasing requirements of the road environment and sustainable development issues, environmental impact assessment (EIA) of highway construction projects has become increasingly prominent. To ensure that owner seriously considered the environmental effects of the construction projects in the development plans time, EIA can minimizes adverse effect, and access to useful effect, or improve environmental values. As a technology EIA is an effective means of strengthening environmental management. So EIA have an important role of determining the direction of economic development and environmental protection.Highway construction projects EIA is a complex synthesis. It is the comprehensive analysis and assessment of social, ecological, sound and atmospheric environmental impact, and involves a number of cross-disciplinary and technology applications. It is based on the theory in ecology, environmental values, externality theories, systems theories, and the theory of sustainable development.Construction projects EIA has three phases: identification, prediction and evaluation. The paper consists two major parts of theoretical and applied research, including the environmental impact factor identification, selection and evaluation of comprehensive, and it is focused on the environmental impact of road construction projects integrated assessment methods research. The first tasks or activity of EIA is the identification process that needs to distinguish between detailed investigations of the possible impact. In actual work, the environmental impact of a construction project is multifaceted and it is a complicated combination of various effects. Therefore, when analyzing the environmental impact of construction projects, we must identify the major factors of environmental impact assessment targeted.Highway construction was characterized by long lines and involves many aspects, and during the construction period and operational period it impacts on the environment. Highway construction projects on the environmental impact depend primarily on two areas. On the one hand, road construction works of the project, on the one hand, the environmental characteristics of the location of highway construction projects. So identification screening should be combined with both. Road environmental impact factor identification and selection methods may have standard, non-standard indicators. The selection of standard indicators is related to improvement of grey models, and the selection of no standard indicators...
