Two parts, including review and research report, were described in this paper.The first part was a review.The first chapter was a review of free radical chemiluminescence (CL) systems. This chapter briefly described the common detection methods for free radical. It was emphasized on the introduction of the CL systems that have been successfully applied to the research of free radical.The second chapter of this part was focused on the application of free radical CL. Generally, oxygen free radical included superoxide anion (·O2-), hydroxy radical (·OH) and nitric oxide (NO). Meanwhile, other Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) such as singlet oxygen (1O2) and hydrogen peroxide can generate free radical, so they also were researched as oxygen free radical.The second part of this paper was research report.The first chapter of this part studied a Fe (III) - H2O2 - Rh6G CL system.At first, we use Fe (III) - H2O2 - Rh6G CL system studied ascorbic acid in vegetables and fruits. Ascorbic acid can be determined in the range of 2.0×l0-5-8.0×l0-3g/L with a detection limit of l×10-5g/L (3a). A complete analysis could be done in 1 minute with the relative standard deviation of 3.1% for 5.0×l0-4g/L (n=ll). The possible mechanism was studied at last.The second section of this chapter described the application of the system we established. It was successfully applied to the determination of pyrogallol in water. The detection limit is 2.7×10-7g/L with a linear range from 8.0×10-7g/L to 1.0×l0-4g/L. The linear equation is △I=25.436C + 21.822 (C: μg/L, r2=0.9996). The relative standard deviation of 2.0×l0-6g/L pyrogallol is 4.80% (n=ll).The last section of this chapter researched the CL of dihydroxybenzene. Both hydroquinone and catechol could enhance the CL intensity. However, resorcin could not. The linear range for Hydroquinone is from 0.008mg/L tolmg/L, with a detection limit of 0.004mg/L (3a). And the linear range for catechol is from O.Olmg/L to 2mg/L, with a detection limit of 0.006mg/L (3o).The second chapter of this part studied another CL system, Cu (II) (Poly-P) - H2O2- RhBCL system.The first section of this chapter described the mechanism of this CL system. Meanwhile, we use pirimicarb as a model studied this system. The detection limit is 4xlO'8g/mL with a linear range from lxlO'7 - 8xlO"5g/mL. The relative standard deviation of 4.0xl0'7g/mL is 3.02% (n=ll).At last, we combined molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) studied this CL system. Metformin-MIP can selectively enrich metformin in complicate sample on line. The CL method was successfully applied to the determination of metformin in human serum. The liner range is from 1.0* 10"8 to 1.0xl0'6g/mL. And the detection limit is 4xlO"9g/mL with a relative standard deviation of 2.0xl0"7g/mL by using MIP is 3.67% (n=7).
