In view of the current antiglare problems of displays, a large number of experiments and analytical work were done in this paper. The antiglare coating, which combined nano-particles and organic macromolecular materials, was spreaded onto the TAC substrate by wet roller coat process to prepare the antiglare films. The antiglare films were used in the polarizer of displays.Poly(methyl methacrylate)-titania(PMMA/TiO2) nano-composite particles were synthesized by in-situ emulsion polymerization of MMA monomer and nano-TiO2. The nano- TiO2 had been treated by KH-570 coupling agent. Thermogravimetry (TG), Infrared (IR) spectroscopy, Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and Atomic Force Microscope (AFM) were used to characterize the structure of the nano-composite particles. The result showed MMA polymerized with the double bond of TiO2. A structure of PMMA surrounded nano-TiO2 was concluded as well. AFM image revealed spherical appearance with an average size of 75nm.Comparing various particles preliminarily, the result showed that the film, which took the hybrid of PMMA/TiO2 nano-composite particles and 10μm PMMA microspheres as the antiglare particles, had integrative effect. The antiglare films produced by wet roller coat process need to adopt...
