In this paper, the polymerizing mechanism, conducting mechanism and doping mechanism of polyaniline (PAN) were studied systematically through exploring its synthesis condition, and the optimal preparation condition under which the resultant PAN has the highest conductivity was obtained. The PAN/nano-TiO2 composites prepared by in-situ polymerizing method exhibit good performance in both conductivity and solubility, and were compared with those prepared by electrochemical means. Rare earth cerium (Ce) was further added to the composite material, and its effect on the material was studied.Synthesis condition is the key factor for the preparation of high quality PAN. FTIR test indicates that PAN structure is mainly affected by the oxidant dosage, and proper dosage is beneficial to electron transport.
