In this paper, two types of compounds have been synthesized, including a series of thiadiazole compounds and Schiff-base imidazoline type compounds. Their corrosion inhibitions for different metals were studied by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, potentiodynamic polarization curves and gravimetric measurements in this paper, which includes two parts: review section and experimental section. In review section, the definition of inhibition and the class of inhibition are presented in this paper, a primary overview is given of the development of the inhibition about copper and steel. In this paper, a detailed overview is given of the class of and the development of the inhibition of copper and steel. In experimental section, the inhibition of corrosion of A3 steel in hydrochoric acid solution by four Schiff-base imidazoline type compounds(BIA,BIOHA,BIMHA and BIMMA), the inhibition of corrosion of H62 copper in 3%NaHCO3 solution by 2-amino-5-alkyl-1,3,4-thiodiazole compounds and inhibition of the corrosion of A3 steel in hydrochoric acid solution by 3-phenyl-4-amino-5-mercapto -1,2,4-triazole(PAMT),3-phenyl-6-methyl-s-triazolo[3,4-b][1,3,4]thiadiazoles(PMTT),3H-6-phenyl-s-triazolo[3,4-b][1,3,4]thiadiazoles(HPTT) and 3-phenyl-6H-s- triazolo[3,4-b][1,3,4]thiadiazoles(PHTT) have been investigated using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), potentiodynamic polarisation and gravimetric methods. To establish whether inhibition is due to the formation of a film on the A3 steel via adsorption scanning electron photograph was taken. We...
