In injection molding quality control, the difficulty not only come from the complex technology dynamics and the unpredictability of material behavior which dependent of temperature and pressure, but also come from lacking of the knowledge about the relationship between part quality and process parameters. So, it's the premise of part quality control to study and model the relationship between injection molded part quality and process parameters. In the paper, two kinds of material(ABS and PP) were studied, the shrinkage and strength in two direction of 1D flow plate, the strength of the parts with or without weldline , sinkmarks and the part's weight were also studied. The relationship between the part quality and the processing conditions and their interactions were studied through experiments. The ANN technique was used to make model the relationship between part quality and processing conditions. The main works are as follows:1. Two-way interactions of the process parameters (mold temperature, melt temperature, packing time, packing pressure, injection pressure) to the part quality were studied by fractional factorial design method. It was fond the part quality in injection molding is effected by factors in mutual interactions ,sometimes ,the interacitons are more important than spare parameter. The results indicate that the interacion's effects are different with different material and different direction. The most important interactions are selected for the following DOE experiments.2. Based on the results of fractional factorial design, orthogonal experiment was used to study the effect of the processing parameters and their main interactions on the part quality. The experimental results indicate that the weldline reduce the strength of specimen, and the strength of ABS specimen are larger tan PP specimen. The influence of factors and interactions are different with different material and the state with or without weldline. The effects of interactions on the specimen with weldline is larger tan specimen without weldline. For 1D flow plate, the shrinkage rate and strength in parallel flow is larger than that in the perpendicular flow direction. The flow direction...
