The general way to solve the problem such as the stress concentration is by improving the safety factor, which will inevitably lead to the E?P structure being conservative; Because of E·P's excessive size and complex structure, the investment budget is high, and material costs has a big proportion in the whole investment, so the conservative design will make the total project cost increase a lot.In recent years, with increasingly widespread use of FEM, many E·P production enterprises have used this method in the analysis and calculation, which greatly increased the design accuracy and reduce unnecessary material consumption, thereby reducing the cost. However, It will spend a lot of time on completing an analysis of the E·P, because the E·P is too large and too complex. Most of the time is spent on the fore treatment, such as model building, Boolean calculation and giving attributes. So the design cycle has been lengthened, and the market response speed and competitive power were reduced.In order to improve the design efficiency and increase their market competitiveness, Parametric Design can be used on the same cross-section E?P type after the initial size parameters are established. The required initial E?P structure models can be produced rapidly, and the stress field and displacement field can be got by using the three-dimensional FEM in the analysis of the structure, then make an analytical judgment on the irrational part by the strength theory, if the result is not in reason, modify and calculate the corresponding parameters repeatedly until the required structure is got.
