With the deep cognition of energy crisis and biomass energy, the Landfill Gas(LFG) has gradually became to a potencial huge energy source. There have already built almost a thousand LFG recycling projects in the world by far, it also shows a good applying outlook in China.LFG production is the basic parameter of LFG recycling project. Although foreign scholars have proposed a variety of prediction methodology for LFG theory production, but none of the methods was dominant. Based on the conversion rate of organic matter of MSW, a new method for calculating LFG production has been proposed, in which the conversion rate of organic matter was estimated just by volatile solid content of MSW which can be measured easily. The method takes the advantage of simplicity, convenience and the easiness of determining the input data. And LFG production at different decomposition phases of MSW also can be determined, by which relation between LFG production, and waste components was established. The model assumed that all the biological organic matter could be converted to LFG, so there is a forecast error resulted from loss of biodegradable organic substances in leachate emissions. Therefore, the model parameter will be amended and improved in this paper, and will be validated and analyzed through the simulated landfill experimental data. Research result shows that:①Organic matter of MSW is guided by the mass conservation law during anaerobic biodegradation, viz. the mass converted to LFG is a deduction of total amount subtracting the loss mass in leachate and the remains at time t. According to the definition of conversion rate of biodegradable organic waste (η),the amended fomula ofηand LFG production is:②The amended model predictions and the cumulative production of CH4 was validated through the simulated landfill experiment data, the results showed that two change curves coincide in essence. With a linear regression analysis, the correlation coefficient value of the amended model predictions and the measured value respectively...
