Gear manufacturing technology is always a topic chiefly concerned on machine manufacturing field. Gear is more and more highly requested in transmission of motion, in order to satisfy quickly development of industrial section such as automobile, tool machine and aviation aerospace. When engaging, in addition to satisfy the strength of high loading ,gear should also keep high speed, the high accuracy and the low voice, which only can be carried out by using advanced gear manufacture technology. Therefore studying in manufacturing gear whose tooth face is hard high accuracy, high-efficiency is the urgent mission in machine manufacturing.The mechanism of ultrasonic honing with parallel axes is present on the foundation that people engage in ultrasonic technique and its application and studying hard honing and its knife tool over a long period. Ultrasonic wave acted on the process of gear honing rev up the velocity of honing by high frequency vibration of it, taking full advantage of the characteristics of honing technology, also opening widely application field of ultrasonic technique. Basing on how to realize technology of ultrasonic parallel shaft gear honing this paper makes follow research.Firstly, the technique of honing gear and ultrasonic machining are discussed. That provides theoretic foundation to realize ultrasonic parallel shaft gear honing.
