This dissertation introduce the "Pressure-patch-pattern-vigor" index system. Human disturbance index, environmental resource patch index, disturbance Patches index, diversity index, pattern index, evenness index, vigor index are chosen as the components of this system. AHP, GIS, RS are also used to build this system. This index system are employed to evaluate the Natural Reserve Region of Chengde. The key findings are: forest and grass land are the main components of landscape ecology system, they take the proportion of 56.77%, 32.78%, respectively. Pressure assessment shows that Yingshouyingzi diggings, Shuangluan-shuangqiao district, Chengde County are badly disturbed by human activity, whose human disturbance index are 33.8, 18.47, 18.89. Luanping, Xinglong, at the lowest level, other counties are at the middle level. The constituents' assessment indicated that: environmental resource patch was the main constituent in each country. The synthetic assessment index of the constituents is less than 6 in Yingshouyingzi digging Weichang county and Fengning county. This index is rank the highest in Xinglong, Kuancheng, Chengde which is 9.83, 8.44, 8.04 respectively. The diversity index is higher in the north than in the south. Evenness index and fragment index have the same distribution. The vigor assessment indicate that: the lowest NPP is 669.14 g/m~2 · a in Pingquan, the highest NPP is 798.11 g/m~2 · a in Luanping. Other counties are at the middle level. According to the results we divide synthetic index into 4 levels, they are relative worse state, relative bad state, relative normal state and relative good state. Yingshouyingzi digging belongs to relative worse state, Weichang Fengning Shuangluan-shuangqiao district Pingquan belongs to relative bad level, Longhua Kuancheng Chengde belongs to relative normal state, Luanping and Xinglong belongs to relative good state.Based on the result obtained, the whole region is divided into two types of Typical Area and Outside Typical Area. The way of landscape planning and designing are also discussed.
