Ti-based stibium: tin oxide electrodes are of widespread interest in many fields such as treatment of wastewater and chlorine-alkali industry etc, especially treatment of industrial wastewater because of their unique properties, these include: high over potential for oxygen-evolution, good electrical conductivity and catalytic property. The nano Ti/Sb:SnO2 electrode (three-dimensional DSA electrode) has been prepared by sol-gel pulling technique using inorganic salts (SnCl4·5H2O, SbCl3) as the precursor, and surface morphlogy and microstructure of the coating were examined by means of XRD and TEM: According to the XRD patterns of the samples, the structure of SnO2 is square rutile, the Scherrer crystallite size is calculated to be nano, which is identical to the results of TEM. The average crystallite sizes grow gradually, the peak breadths of the diffraction minish gradually and the structure of SnO2 crystal is more integrated with the increase of heat treatment temperature. The average size of SnO2 is about 6nm at 700℃. By comparing with the TEM images of the oxide, the size of SnO2 crystallite grows gradually with the increase of heat treatment temperature, the result is the same to XRD. Compared with pure SnO2, there is no apparent change in the average crystallite size with Sb doping, the phenomenon of reunion weakens gradually and the adulteration restrains the crystallite size from growth. The diameter diminishes obviously which is only about 24nm.The three-dimensional DSA electrodes were prepared by pulling method on the spumy titanium and were pyrolyzed to make nanometer-sized oxide dehydration ulteriorly. The structure and surface morphlogy of the spumy titanium were studied by metallography electron microscope, and the results show that he spumy titanium having symmetrically reticulated structure of three dimensions and the spumy titanium having been covered with nanometer sized powders and the laden layer was very uniform.In order to study the over potential for oxygen-evolution of the laden electrodes, the trinal-electrodes electrochemistry measure system.
